SAT PREP SEMINARS
Our extremely popular and successful SAT Prep Seminar is offered throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Small classes, taught by caring and experienced teachers, are presented in a powerful, fast moving, and interesting format. The curriculum is comprehensive, the environment is serious (hey, it's about your future), yet fun (a good laugh is never a bad thing).
The Ames SAT Prep Seminar is a comprehensive program. Students learn general test-taking techniques as well as specific strategies for every question on the SAT.
For Reading students learn to effectively analyze sentence completions and improve performance on the reading passages. Vocabulary is critical, so students have the opportunity to learn over 400 words that frequently appear on the SAT.
The Writing portion of the test contains grammar questions and a written essay. These are very coachable! Students review grammar concepts and practice questions. We teach how to write the required short argumentative essay and review how it will be scored. Students learn to develop a strong thesis, outline main points, and write coherent essays.
For Math improvement, students review math formulas and concepts that frequently appear on the test as well as how to do the unique (weird) questions that the College Board loves so much.
